Montmarte is a large hill in the 18th arrondissement of Paris and has become famous for its artistic history as well as being the location of the Sacré-Cœur. The area is home to artsy cafes, cabarets, and evening nightclubs. However, we recommend going for a walk on a sunny day – stroll by the colorful buildings, shop some souvenirs, and sit back while a street painter sketches a portrait of you. A must-visit, especially for first-timers in Paris.
